Lichen planus is a skin condition which is triggered by the weak immune system. The exact cause of lichen planus is not known but factors such as viral infections, allergens, stress, and genetics are said to trigger this skin condition. People suffering from lichen planus present with purplish colored lesions or bumps with flat tops on the skin. The main sites are hands, legs, ankles, and face.  When the inner lining of the mouth is involved it is termed Oral Lichen Planus. Oral Lichen Planus includes inner cheeks, lips, tongue, and gums. Other mucosal surface includes the esophagus, larynx, pharynx; genitals (penis/scrotum in males and vulva/vagina in females). There is voluptuous itching at the site of lesions. Role of Homeopathy in treating Lichen Planus

Homeopathy is very effective in treating Lichen planus. As this disorder is caused due to a defect in the immune system, homeopathy helps in treating it by correcting the deviated immune system and restoring it back to normalcy. As seen in the above case not only Lichen planus was taken care with homeopathy but the associated complaint of PCOS was also taken care off. Homeopathy treats the individual and not only the disease. Stress can be very effectively treated through homeopathy. Every individual is different and needs a professional homeopath to treat his ailment effectively. Being a natural medicine homeopathy is very safe and with zero side effects. Homeopathy would also ensure that there is no recurrence of the skin condition.
