Are you worried about your excessive hair loss and can't afford expensive hair fall treatments? If so, you can try some simple natural foods, which might help you prevent hair loss and condition your hair naturally.

1. Onion juice

Surprised? Never heard of onion juice for hair loss problems? But it’s true. Due to its high sulphur content, onion juice helps treat hair loss effectively. It also enhances the circulation of blood to the hair follicles. This helps revitalize hair follicles. Due to its anti-bacterial properties, onion juice might also help kill the germs that cause scalp infection. So, now that the prices of onions have come down, go grab a few kilos for yourself and relish the health benefits of this one of the most widely cultivated vegetables.

2. Beetroot juice

Beetroot will help you complete your nutritional deficiency that causes the hair fall. Beetroot juice supplies nutrients like vitamin C, iron, Vitamin B6, magnesium and potassium, which are all vital for good hair growth. 100 gram beetroot gives you 1.6 gram of protein. It can also stop scalp inflammation, which is one of the reasons for hair fall. Beetroot strengthens your hair scalp and therefore can arrest hair fall.

3. Green tea

This may sound a bit far-fetched, but it has been proven that having a cup of green tea every day will not only cure several health problems but will stop hair loss too. Green tea can revitalize hair follicles and stimulate hair production. It also enhances your metabolism which ultimately leads to increased rate of hair growth. You will only be able to reap the maximum benefits from green tea when you incorporate it into your daily routine.

4. Indian Gooseberry (Amla)

This one is straight from ‘Dadi maa ke nuskhen for hair fall control.’ What's better to treat hair related issues than Amla? One of the major reasons for hair loss is the deficiency of Vitamin C and Amla being a rich source of it, there's no better way to replenish it back in our system. Apart from eating Amla or drinking its juice, you can also apply it directly on the scalp for maximum benefits. Try this - Take a fresh Amla and squeeze out its juice into a bowl. Apply it directly onto your scalp and massage with your fingertips gently. Let it sit for an hour. Then, wash off with a mild natural shampoo. Regular application of this hair tonic will nourish your scalp, thereby making hair strands stronger. You can also squeeze a juice of a fresh lemon into Amla juice for better results.

5. Neem leaves

Neem, known for its medicinal properties is an effective herb to treat hair fall. Boil and grind neem leaves to a paste and apply it to your scalp after shampooing your hair. Wash it off after 30 minutes. Repeat the process twice in a week and notice the change in your hair!

7. Carrot

Sneak carrots in your diet for those long and lustrous locks. Known to be good for the eyes, carrots contain Vitamin A that helps improve hair growth. Deficiency of vitamin A may lead to dry and itchy scalp that can also be a cause of hair fall. So include carrots in your daily diet to get the maximum supply of Vitamin A and keep your hair healthy.

8. Aloe vera

Aloe vera contains enzymes that directly promote healthy hair growth. Applying Aloe vera juice or gel on your scalp along with having one teaspoon of aloe vera on an empty stomach can induce healthy hair growth.
