Proceeds of the function will be donated to Shepherd’s Widow Home

Dr. Mukesh Batra, Padma Shri recipient and Founder - Chairman of Dr Batra's™ Healthcare group consisting of homeopathy, aesthetic services, products etc., enthralled the hearts of Mumbaikars today, charming everyone at the Yaadon ki Bahaar concert with his soothing voice and heartfelt generosity. It was heartening to see over 500 audience appreciate and applaud his melodious rendition of Bollywood’s golden numbers from yesteryears.

The musical extravaganza, a landmark in Mumbai’s cultural calendar, has enjoyed overwhelming support from the people, with personalities such as Nandita Das, Pankaj Udas, Anu Malik, Vinod Khanna and Roop Kumar Rathod participating over the years. The funds raised at the event are donated to the Shepherd’s Widow Home in the city.

The Shepherd’s Widow Home is managed by the Bishop of Mumbai – CNI, the home takes care of over 30 old widows and provides them with free housing, medical care and other necessities. It fills the void in their lives and provides them vital support that keeps important aspects of their lifestyle intact while improving their overall quality of life. Dr Batra's™ has been associated with Shepherd’s Widow Home for the past 30 years and provides free lifetime treatment to its residents.

Speaking about the annual concert and his decades-long association with the widow home, Dr. Mukesh Batra said, “These women are remarkable for having gone through so much in life and I think it is our duty to see that they do not spend their twilight years in isolation, pain and misery. These women do not need our pity but need our love and care, more so because they feel lonely and left out from their families. This concert is not about the money that goes to them or the charity; it’s a tribute to their spirit. This is evident in the success and growing popularity of Yaadon ki Bahaar.
