Growing up in a modest household in Madanpur Khadar, Krishna balanced life as a small salon owner with his rigorous training regimen, demonstrating remarkable dedication. He regularly trains at Delhi’s Wazirabad Water Sports Club, blending professional duties with early-morning and late-evening on-water sessions. His family has been unwavering in their support, helping him maintain this blend of livelihood and athletic pursuit despite limited resources. Their encouragement has been instrumental in his journey from neighborhood salon operator to internationally recognized para-athlete.
Krishna Kumar Samania is a resilient Indian para-athlete known for his expertise in canoeing and dragon boat racing, hailing from Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi. Despite facing physical and financial adversity, he has risen to represent India on the global stage. At the International Canoeing & Kayaking Sprint Goodwill Cup in Moscow, he clinched a bronze medal in the 200 m canoeing event—an accomplishment made possible through the crucial support of the HEAL Foundation, which covered his travel expenses.
