Medical condition: Acid-attack survivor.

Her story: An acid attack by her father marred her face but couldn’t burn her spirit. She grew up to wear her scars with pride and became a fashion icon. She also started ‘Sahas Foundation’ that helps acid-attack survivors secure employment and lead respectable lives.

Her struggle: Having lost her mother at such a tender age and disowned by her father, Anmol spent the first 5 years of her life in the hospital healing from the trauma. She was then sent to Shree Manav Seva Sangh, a shelter home in Mumbai. As a child, she had trouble making friends with other children because of the scars on her face. The challenges followed as she grew up and she had to leave her full-time job in a multinational company following discrimination from her employers due to her appearance.

Her first step towards making a difference: Rising above the discrimination and criticism Anmol went on to become a social media influencer and a model. She also started ‘Sahas Foundation’ to help other acid-attack survivors.

Her contribution to the society: Through her NGO, Anmol aids other acid-attack survivors find dignified means of living. She also helps build their self-confidence. Her social media accounts are also a shining source of inspiration to all.
