Dr Batra’s™ Homeopathy offers FREE preventive dosage for Leptospirosis

The incessant downpour that lashed the city on August 29th had thousands of Mumbaikars wading through flooded streets, thereby increasing the possibility of being infected with the water-borne bacteria, especially leptospirosis. According to media reports, 66 people had died due to leptospirosis soon after the July 2005 deluge. Keeping this in mind, Dr Batra’s™ Homeopathy – India’s leading chain of homeopathy clinics has announced FREE preventive homeopathic doses  for leptospirosis across all its clinics in Mumbai (Borivali, Kandivali, Mulund, Sion, Chowpatty, Khar, Powai, Ghatkopar, Lokhandwala and Sakinaka) from 1st September to 8th September 2017 (Monday – Friday 12 noon – 5pm).

Dr Bindu Sharma, Director - Medical Services, Dr Batra’s™ Healthcare said, “There is a high risk of contracting leptospirosis for those with wounds or cracked skin who have come in contact with contaminated water, making preventive medication extremely important. Homeopathy has proven to be effective as a preventive measure in cases of seasonal outbreaks and Dr Batra’s™ has always been proactive in helping the society in such seasonal infections with homeopathic preventive medicines as a part of its CSR initiative.”

“The homeopathic medication can be consumed orally, is hassle free and has no side effects. It can be taken across age group and genders and the dose will not interfere with any on-going allopathic medication. The medication is available for consumption, under medical supervision, for anyone who walks into Dr Batra’s ™ Clinic in Mumbai,” further added Dr. Sharma.

Leptospirosis – categorised as a monsoon disease – is caused by the leptospira bacteria present in the urine and faecal matter of animals like rats, dogs and cattle. It is possible for symptoms to develop from between 2 and 30 days after exposure to contaminated water. The illness usually begins with fever and other symptoms. Leptospirosis may occur in two phases, the second being more severe.
