I have become more forgetful recently…

Anxiety
September 8, 2017

I am just 30years old and I have realized that I forget what is just said. First I thought that it was ok as I may have not had a good sleep but now I am worried as this is getting chronic with me. I am trying to figure out what is the reason for this short term memory loss since last 8months to be precise. I catch up on enough sleep and though my work is stressful but I do not take that much stress and take everything as it comes. My personal life stress is also manageable. I have also started with a receding hairline. I have been an ardent follower of homoeopathy and visited my doctor. My doctor advised me to do a few blood tests like CBC, Thyroid Hormones, Blood Sugar and Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D tests. By the grace of God I was not a diabetic but my thyroid had become underactive and my vitamin B12 and D were low. My doctor said that though I managed stress well but my continuous thinking habit and finding reasons for every situation led me to this problem. I was prescribed homoeopathic medicine, vitamin supplements and de-stressing techniques. My condition improved over a period of time and my hair receding also stopped.

Hypothyroid occurs when the thyroid gland fails to produce enough thyroid hormones. Impaired memory, Unexplained Weight gain, Constipation, Sluggishness, Fatigue; Lack of Energy, Dry skin, Depression, Increased sensitivity to cold, Hair thinning/ Hair loss, Muscle aches and pains, heavier than normal or irregular menstrual periods and slower heart rate are common signs and symptoms seen in a hypothyroid patient.

Why Homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy helps to produce thyroid hormone naturally by stimulating the immune system and helps in better functioning of the thyroid gland.

Homoeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body’s own healing capacity by encouraging the body to reactivate hormone secretions.

Homeopathy is free from any side-effects. Not only do homoeopathic medicines reduce hairloss but they also protect the body from harmful side-effects that are common with conventional drugs.

Stress causes hormonal disturbances in the body like thyroid problems which are known to cause hairloss and is very effectively treated with homeopathy.

Homoeopathy is a mind-body medicine. Homoeopathy treats not only the physical complaints, but also targets the mind and gently restores mind-body equilibrium- thus it treats the patient as a whole. This makes homoeopathy an excellent solution for hair problems related to the mind such as stress related patchy hairloss (alopecia areata) or stress induced massive hair shedding.

Homoeopathy helps to slow down the progression of the patchy hair loss and fill them up with new hair. A complete recovery is possible in most cases with homoeopathy. Hypothyroid is a known triggering factor for patchy hair loss and homoeopathy treats thyroid problems very effectively.

Self Help on De-stressing

Go for a minute walk will clear your head and boost endorphins which reduce stress hormones.

Breathe deeply as it helps you relax and reduces tension and relieves stress, thanks to an extra boost of oxygen.

Stress eating does not have to be bad. Pick a handful of nuts, dry-fruits and fruits.

Make sure you take frequent breaks during your day of computer use and try to shut offline at least an hour before bedtime.

Cell phones stress you out and talking can even raise your blood pressure. So turn it off.

Music has a soothing effect; it slows heart rate, lowers blood pressure and even decreases levels of stress hormones.

Tighten your foot muscles as much as you can, then relax them. Progressive muscle relaxation can help a lot to de-stress.

Meet your best friend forever. Talking to a very close friend can actually reduce the production of cortisol which in turn helps to reduce stress.

Eating a banana helps to reduce stress as it contains potassium which helps to regulate blood pressure. It helps in re-energizing too.

House plants are not just beautiful air purifiers but they can also help you calm down.
