Homeopathy: holistic way of saying goodbye to warts

With numerous small, fleshy, skin-coloured growths on either palms, fingers, and toes, 39-year-old Manish was suffering from multiple warts since the last two years. The warts were gradually increasing in size and number. For the past few weeks, these warts had also become tender. Manish had been using ointments prescribed by his dermatologist, but these did not help him at all. He had also undergone cauterisation once with recurrence of the warts. Of late, Manish was also going through a lot of work-related stress. Embarrassment was becoming an issue for him too on account of his warts. He had noticed that people avoided shaking hands with him. Then, he took wart treatment in homeopathy, suggested by one of his colleagues. In just eleven weeks, all warts on his fingers, palms, and toes disappeared completely. He could now work without any discomfort, or embarrassment.

Wart Treatment in Homeopathy

Homeopathic medicines for warts are one of the best medicines with proven efficacy. In fact, the maximum success stories one hears of in homeopathy are related to the wart treatment (like we gave an example of Manish in this article). Almost every homeopath will recall success stories to draw attention to his triumphs in wart treatment. So, how does the warts treatment in homeopathy work and how is it different from conventional treatments?

Conventional wart treatment makes use of different procedures for wart removal. Salicylic acid is the commonest topical cream used. Other methods include cryosurgery which involves freezing warts with liquid nitrogen, surgical curettage, keratolysis and laser. These methods generally provide only temporary relief and there is a tendency for relapse besides the risk of procedural complications involved.

Also, if you are thinking to self-treat warts by burning or some other sources, please don’t try. Because it does not address the condition underlying their appearance, but only takes away the surface manifestation. The inner disease could now continue to develop at a potentially faster rate, because there would now be no outward evidence of its presence, and no way to monitor its progress since the external eruption was being interfered with.

Hence, the best way to treat warts is homeopathy.

The wart treatment in homeopathy does not suppress symptoms like in other systems of medicine, but tries to eradicate the ‘root’ cause. Homeopathic medicines for warts treat an individual holistically- to bring about better, also greater health and well-being at all levels.  There is no ‘one medicine suits all’ in homeopathy. When using homeopathic medicine for warts, good results are achieved when the remedy corresponds to the individual characteristics of the person as well as the shape and appearance of the warts, which differs in each patient. One has to consider the physical appearance of the warts, the emotional well being of the patient, stress levels of the person, any triggers that aggravate the condition, and several other factors are taken into consideration before prescribing homeopathic medicines for warts.

Warts respond best to individualised treatment when using homeopathy. In one study, 90 per cent of patients with various types of warts saw their warts disappear within six months when remedies that matched their individualising symptoms were used.
