Are the Purplish itchy spots on your hands not allowing you to wear your favorite sleeveless dress?

Skin Ailments
April 15, 2017

I belong to a very effluent family. I have always enjoyed and partied throughout. I was always the star of these parties and women would envy my skin and clothes. But since last 2 years I have been facing this problem of purplish itchy spots on my hands and legs. The stress of my business and my personal life stresses have just increased my problems. I stopped attending parties as I could not wear my favorite sleeveless dresses as everyone noticed my skin and questioned me. I visited an allopath for my troubling skin condition and was just given creams which would stop itching of the skin but the scars remained as they were. I tried Ayurvedic medicine too but had not relief. At last I came across a business associate who was taking homeopathic treatment for some other ailment and on noticing my skin condition told me how homeopathy could be beneficial in my case too. I visited his homeopathic doctor and after asking me a lot of questions she gave me some white pills. She also recommended few investigations as I had put on weight and after doing those investigations I was detected with PCOS which no other doctors told me. She explained me that the skin condition was Lichen Planus and the other condition i.e. PCOS were both related to my business and personal life stresses which had weakened my immune system. After taking almost 3 months of treatment the itch had completely vanished and the scars had lightened. I repeated the pelvic sonography and to my surprise the cysts also disappeared. I started feeling more confident and after 6 months I attended the party in my favorite sleeveless dress.

What is Lichen Planus?

Lichen planus is a skin condition which is triggered by the weak immune system. The exact cause of lichen planus is not known but factors such as viral infections, allergens, stress and genetics are said to trigger this skin condition. People suffering of lichen planus present with purplish colored lesions or bumps with flat tops on the skin. The main sites are hands, legs, ankles, and face.  When the inner lining of mouth is involved it is termed Oral Lichen Planus. Oral Lichen Planus includes inner cheeks, lips, tongue and gums. Other mucosal surface includes oesophagus, larynx, pharynx, genitals (penis/scrotum in males and vulva/vagina in females). There is voluptuous itching at the site of lesions. Percentage of men and women suffering of Lichen Planus are equal. It is most common in middle aged people. Only a person trained in skin condition will be able to diagnose the skin condition and advise the treatment.

Role of Homeopathy in treating Lichen Planus

Homeopathy is very effective in treating Lichen planus. As this disorder is caused due to defect in the immune system, homeopathy helps treating it by correcting the deviated immune system and restoring it back to normalcy. As seen in the above case not only Lichen planus was taken care with homeopathy but the associated complaint of PCOS was also taken care off. Homeopathy treats the individual and not only the disease. Stress can be very effectively treated through homeopathy. Every individual is different and needs professional homeopath to treat his ailment effectively. Being a natural medicine homeopathy is very safe and with zero side effects. Homeopathy would also ensure that there is no recurrence of the skin condition.
