Losing hair at young age is a nightmare for all. But, homeopathy has a solution for this problem. Read on to find out how a 10 year old girl Perinaz got her hair back with homeopathy..
Ten-year-old Perinaz came to our clinic with symptoms of alopecia areata (patchy hair loss) and excessive diffuse hair fall. She was diagnosed with chronic telogen effluvium (CTE), a condition where hair loss exists for more than six months or longer.
Perinaz had tried conventional (allopathic) and ayurvedic treatments before her parents opted for homeopathic treatment. Alopecia areata (AA) is a condition in which hair is lost from some or all parts of the body, usually from the scalp. It is also sometimes called spot baldness, especially in the initial stages. In 1-2 per cent of the cases, the condition can spread to the entire scalp (alopecia totalis), or entire body (alopecia universalis).
While the initial symptoms of AA are small bald patches, the patches can attain a different shape later - most often round or oval. Different scalp areas can also exhibit hair loss and re-growth at the same time. The disorder may go into remission for a time, or may become permanent. The area of hair loss may twitch or be painful. Also, the hair tends to fall out, over a period of time, with the loss commonly occurring more on one side of the scalp than the other. AA tends to be common among children.
We prescribed Perinaz a homeopathic medicine, which corresponded well with her temperament. In addition, we suggested her diet rich in iron and iron supplements because her blood report showed low-haemoglobin levels (anaemia), a possible cause of hair loss. Perinaz showed noticeable progress within six months, and her bald patches improved after a year’s homeopathic treatment.
