I am getting more impatient

I am 28years old married lady. Since last 2months suddenly I have become very impatient. I get worked up very easily with least thing said to me. I having started sweating more than before and am losing weight also without any change in my eating habit. I was worried about my health deteriorating and visited my regular homoeopathic doctor. my doctor immediately asked me to get my thyroid hormone test done and I was detected with an overactive thyroid disease known as Hyperthyroidism. My doctor already knew my history as I always consulted him for my health problems. He prescribed me homeopathic medicines as always and advised me to just do some de-stressing techniques. I was asked to keep a check on my thyroid levels on quarterly basis. Slowly my condition got better and I could balance my emotions better. My thyroid hormones too came back to normal levels.

Rapid changes in thyroid hormone levels can unsettle your emotions. Rapid and effective control of hyperthyroidism is essential to stabilize the mood and it is also important to make sure that the thyroid remains stable. Fortunately, in the great majority of cases, psychological symptoms improve as the thyroid disorder is brought under control by treatment, if thyroid is the cause of the problem. Improvement would be faster when you seek help of an expert who can also take care of the mental symptoms apart from disease symptoms.

Whatever be the type of your thyroid disorder, it can make you feel more emotional than you felt before and you may find that your mood changes, sometimes rapidly and unpredictably. Anxiety- a feeling of nervousness, with butterflies, heart racing, trembling, irritability, sleep difficulties are common in a person suffering from an over-active thyroid or hyperthyroid.

Don’t feel awkward or embarrassed about talking to your doctor about the psychological symptoms associated with your thyroid disorder. Ask as many questions as you need to understand what is happening to you.

These symptoms can also have an impact on your family and friends so it is important to give them the opportunity to understand what is happening.

Healing with Homoeopathy

Homoeopathic treatment aims at treating a hyperthyroid patient as a person having the ailment and not just the disease in isolation. Homoeopathy suggests that illness often develop owing to lowered resistance, or compromised immune function. Homoeopathic medicines add zest to our immune mechanism. In other words, they gently propel the power of our immune system to scour the illness from its roots.

Homoeopathy is a mind-body medicine. Homoeopathy treats not only the physical complaints, but also targets the mind and gently restores mind-body equilibrium- thus it treats the patient as a whole.

Homoeopathy helps to produce thyroid hormone naturally by stimulating the immune system and helps in better functioning of the thyroid gland.

Homoeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body’s own healing capacity by encouraging the body to reactivate hormone secretions.

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) have known side-effects like itching, mild muscle or joint pains, swelling or hairloss. Homeopathy is free from any side-effects.

Do It Yourself

Have regular check-ups and pay attention to your symptoms. Report changes, if any, to your doctor.

Include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, rutabagas, spinach, turnips, peaches and pears. They help to curb thyroid production, naturally.

Caffeinated drinks and dairy products should be avoided.

Try de-stressing techniques. Go for a walk, try deep breathing, yoga, meditation, put on some soothing music as it slows heart rate, lowers blood pressure and even decreases levels of stress hormones. Switch of the T.V. / Mobile/ laptop 1 hour before you sleep as uninterrupted computer usage has been associated with stress, lost sleep and depression.
