Dr. Mukesh Batra, Founder and Chairman
One of the most renowned homeopaths in India, he founded Dr. Batra's Positive Health Clinic as a patient-driven institution in Mumbai in 1982. He has been practicing homeopathy since 1974 and has played a pioneering role in the development of homeopathy in India. Dr. Batra has not only set up a corporate empire but also extended the medical benefits of this safe and sure system throughout the country through path-breaking commercial as well as charitable initiatives.
Amongst his numerous achievements, he has recently been awarded the Padma Shri for Medicine, 2012. This 4th highest civilian award by the Government of India was conferred upon him by the President of India, Smt Pratibha Patil.
Dr. Akshay Batra, Managing Director
Dr. Akshay Batra, a leading homeopathy expert and Managing Director of Dr. Batras’ Positive Health Clinic Pvt. Ltd. is India's first Trichologist from The Trichological Society of London. He is also the youngest and first ever non-UK based Trichologist to receive the prestigious ‘Robert Olding Award’ for outstanding achievement and personal endeavor in the field of Trichology.
An ardent enthusiast with a great zeal to deliver the best in Homeopathy and Trichology, Dr. Akshay Batra is the first ever Asian Trichologist to get the honor of being the Vice President of the Trichological Society of London. Furthermore, he is amongst India's first hair specialists to be part of the European Hair Research Society (EHRS), the world's leading society for hair research.
Dr. Akshay Batra's list of achievements does not end here - he has been conferred with awards for Youth Excellence in Homeopathy from 'International Business Council' and 'International Institute of Education and Management'. He has also enjoyed the privilege of addressing an eminent audience at the House of Commons to commemorate the 10th year of The Trichological Society, London.
Dr. Bindu Sharma, Director - Medical Services
Dr. Bindu Sharma is a gold medal recipient in homeopathy from Hahnemann College, UK. She graduated in BHMS and later completed her PG Hom from UK. Dr Sharma brings with her a rich experience of 19 years of medical practice and she has been a core member of the management team at Dr. Batra's for more than 16 years now. She has also worked with Dr. Batra's Clinic, London for 2 years. As the Director of Medical Services at Dr Batra's, she is actively involved in monitoring quality patient care across all the clinics and regular training of all the doctors at Dr Batra's. Being an integral part of the Medical Ethics Committee at Dr Batra's, she ensures that patients receive nothing short of the best services at Dr Batra's. Her medical expertise is of immense use in the treatment of difficult cases as well as those not responding well to medication.
Sumeet Ambegaokar - Chief Marketing Officer
Sumeet is a mechanical engineer with an MBA in Marketing from SIBM, Pune. Sumeet is a thorough marketing professional with over 17 years of rich and varied work experience across FMCG/ telecom and retail sectors. Building brands, innovative marketing campaigns, sales and business development are his key specialisations. He has previously been associated with FMCG major ITC Ltd, leading telecom brands Airtel and Tata Tele followed by a successful association as Head Marketing with The MobileStore, India’s largest telecom retail chain.
R. Soundararajan - Chief Information Officer
Mr. Soundararajan is an experienced IT professional with over 30 years of in-depth experience with entrepreneurial background and proven expertise in strategic business consulting, and providing total IT solution and support.
He provided total support for implementation of IT projects – right from conceptualization of the application areas to implementation in the manufacturing and trading sector till 2000. He has headed major IT consultancy assignments abroad during 1996 to 2000; conceptualized business / technical solutions of IT projects across industries on the domestic / overseas front in leading IT consultancy firms including setting up a full fledged IT and ITES solution provider firm and functioning as a Business Head.
Madhav Agarwal, Head of Finance and Accounts
Mr. Madhav is Qualified CA and DISA from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and LL.B from University of Agra, Mr. Agarwal has over 18 years of rich experience in financial planning, funds management, budgeting, audits, accounts, system implementation & MIS. He was previously associated with M. C. Retail Pvt. Lt. of the Murjani Groupas G.M. Finance, which handles brands like, Gucci, Bottega, Jimmy Choo, FCUK, C.K. etc. He has been a part of the top management team at various reputed Manufacturing and trading companies.
Dr Santosh Bagwe, Head – HR
An MBA – HR with a rich experience of 20 years in organizational development, strategic and business HR, leadership development, Talent acquisition, Performance management and industrial relation. Dr Santosh joined Dr Batra’s in 2009 as Head – HR. With zeal to excel in his work, he streamlined all the HR functions at Dr Batra’s. Considering his rich experience and enthusiasm, he was also given an added responsibility to look into several other functions and departments including Operations, Call Centre and Projects. After successfully handling all these profiles, in 2012, he has been appointed as a COO for Dr Batra’s Aesthetic Solutions.
He is also a visiting faculty at SNDT Women’s University, Padmashree D Y Patil Institute of Management and Research and Vasantdada Patil Institute of Management Studies. Dr Santosh has a Doctorate in Business Administration in HR and Kautilya’s Arthashastra from Corllins University, USA, and also holds an MS degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Institute of Psychotherapy and Management Science, Mumbai. Before joining Dr Batra’s, Dr Santosh, has worked with Eureka Forbes Ltd, Mott MacDonald Consultants (I) Pvt. Ltd and Flat products Equipments (I) Ltd, among others.
Kiran Joshi, Head - Franchise
Kiran has over 16 years of rich and diversified experience in leading successful retail operations, store roll out, franchise development and business management. His experience cuts across different industry verticals, such as retail, wellness and telecom. He has worked with leading Indian and Multi-National Organizations, such as Archies, Gold’s Gym, Future Group and Uninor, naming a few. In his last assignment at Chalhoub Group as a Head, sales & operations – Pan India, he was managing portfolio of International luxury brands, such as Calvin Klein, Davidoff, Christian Dior and many more. Kiran has in-depth knowledge about franchising and has spear headed expansion for various concepts at pan-India level, through the franchise route.
Rajgopal Nidamboor, Head - Content
Rajgopal Nidamboor, a writer-editor-critic-columnist-author-publisher, is a College Graduate in Homeopathic Medicine, Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians of India, Member of the Centre of Applied Medicine, with a conferred doctorate in philosophical literature. His areas of interest include natural health/wellness, alternative/mind-body/integrative medicine, aside from homeopathic and nutritional medicine. In a career spanning three decades, Nidamboor has published 100s of newspaper, magazine, and Web articles, columns, essays, meditations, and critiques, on a host of subjects, and also worked as editor with IBD, Jasubhai Media, Murray Books, Australia, and Goldshield Group, UK, among others. His published works include two coffee table books, four natural health books, a handful of E-books, a primer on medical therapeutics and an encyclopaedic treatise on Indian philosophy.
Rashmi Prabhakar, Head – Public Relations
Rashmi Prabhakar, a Graduate in Commerce, has over 13 years of professional experience in Corporate Communications & Public Relations. She also holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Public Relations & Mass Communications, aside from a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, with specialisation in Marketing. She has worked with leading Indian and Multi-National Organizations such as Essel Group, All Cargo, Mafatlal and Brinks Arya. To add to her rich experience, she is also a guest lecturer in some esteemed institutions such as SNDT - Mumbai, ISB&M - Pune, among others. She feels that fulfilling her career goals and the company's vision, is just as important as contributing her bit to the community, through social work.
Aishwarya Sundeep, Head – Sales
Aishwarya Sundeep comes with a rich experience spanning more than 9 years in marketing, business development, brand positioning, operations and sales. Her experience traverses different sectors such as finance, telecom, healthcare and retail. She has a vast experience in planning and executing many successful BTL and direct marketing activities – pan-India and abroad. She has also been a part of ideation and execution of more than 300 stage events across the globe. Few of her past associations include GE (General Electric) and Marico.
Dr Tushar Mittal, Head - Quality
Dr Tushar Mittal graduated with BHMS from prestigious 'National Institute of Homeopathy' (Under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India) and later completed his Diploma in population studies and Health Management. He gained vast clinical experience in homeopathy and related departments in various organizations. He has been associated with Dr Batra's for 9 years and has also been in-charge of our Muscat clinic for more than 3 years. Currently, he holds the position of Head - Quality and is actively responsible for services provided to the patients, quality standardization, assurance and accreditations in our organization.
Dr Tejal Ajmera Patel, National Head - Business
Dr. Tejal, MD (Hom.) joined Dr Batra's in 1997 as a homeopathic consultant and was personally trained by Dr Mukesh Batra. She honed her skills further with a personalised training from a dermatologist and diabetologist. Dr Tejal has taken charge of numerous clinics ever since, treating patients across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, New Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Nagpur and Chandigarh. She has a vast experience of treating more than one lakh cases. Earlier, she has been in charge of providing training to all doctors at Dr Batra’s and was also actively involved in medical communication and PR. Currently, she is the National Head – Business at Dr Batra’s.
